Chris is a Ship and Engineer Surveyor of more than 40 years experience both in Private Practice and as a Non Exclusive Surveyor to Lloyds Register, Germanischer Lloyd, American Bureau of Shipping and Bureau Veritas, as well as for the last 20 years as a Marine Surveyor for Marine and Safety Tasmania and more recently an Accredited Marine Surveyor for AMSA. After completing a Fitting and Machining apprenticeship, Chris served as a sea going Engineer Officer for both overseas and Australian shipping companies whilst studying and gaining Marine Engineering Certificates of Competency. He has successfully managed a family owned Marine and General Engineering Business as well as his own Engineering Wholesale business and private Marine Surveying practice. He has experience in all facets of Marine Surveying including classification surveys, statutory and periodical surveys, hull and machinery damage and repair surveys, towing and lashing surveyors, vessel and machinery condition surveys, on/off hire vessel surveys, under construction surveys and pre- shipment inspections of various commodities.
